Dr. Robin Milhausen is a researcher, educator, and registered psychotherapist (qualifying) in the areas of sexuality and relationships. A professor at the University of Guelph, Robin studies factors that spark intimacy and desire in relationships and enhance sexual health and pleasure. She is frequently called on to speak about these topics on television, podcasts, and other forms of media. Her research is highly cited, and she is a co-author of one of the top sexuality textbooks in the country. Through her work as an educator and therapist, Robin aims to help people feel more comfortable and satisfied with their sexuality and more fulfilled in their lives and relationships. Robin completed her PhD in Applied Health Science with a minor in Human Sexuality from the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. She is actively engaged in the sexuality research community in Canada and internationally, having served as the President of the Canadian Sex Research Forum, Chair and Co-Chair of the Annual Guelph Sexuality Conference, and member of the board and Co-Chair for the Society of the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She is a research fellow of the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention and The Kinsey Institute and an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality. Closer to home, Robin received the YMCA Women of Distinction Award in 2016.
